Jim Wallerstein became famous as a member of the band Das Demen, in 1984. Therefore, he is the founder and vocalist of the band. The member of the band was Alex Totino, Phil Leopold von Trapp, and Lyle Hysen.
In the year 1986, he launched a self-titled debut album. Later on, he signed with SST Record with the band. The band released its albums named Jupiter Eye and Triskaidekaphobia, under the recording label.

In addition, Jupiter Eue’s Quasi-hardcore was even compared with MC-5 garage psychedelia. Moving on, they released their 4th album titled Moustrap, under the recording label, Twin/Tone.
What Goes On peaked at the 12th position in the UK Indie Single chart list, the band’s single, in 1989. The band signed with City Slang, in the year 1990. With the label, they released albums like Entertainment Friends and High Anxiety Mini. Unfortunately, the next year, the band parted away.
Later, he moved to Portland with his wife, in 2001. Similarly, he helped to form the band, Vacationland. Under the label Tacit Records, the band released the album All Around You Under, in 2003.
As of now, he is playing for named Twin Engines. Besides that, he got the media attention as he married to Bebe Buell. Bebe Buell was managed by the modeling industry legend Eileen Ford, after moving to New York.
